Vehicle update
Jun 05, 2023
5Here's a rig update. I hope to provide these more often so people know what's going on instead of relying on rumors....
NBK:
Engine-61 was expected back in service last night, but Jacobs failed to deliver. The mechanic encountered some unexpected challenges and it should now be completed next week. Unknown exact day, but I’m expecting 6/5. Once completed, focus will shift back to Brush-28 PM completion.
Ladder-62 did return today, but it still requires a pump test before it can be placed in service(as a pumper). Parts for ladder repair are due in by 10/3.
Aid-62 returned today from B&B, but the vehicle now wanders significantly. Returned to Jacobs. Unsafe to use.
Engine-63 steering box expected to ship on 6/12.
Engine-27 is apparently repaired, but Valley Freightliner found a leaking hydraulic lift cylinder that needs repair. The current trend is something new will be discovered next week, but Jacobs is saying 6/9.
Ladder-28 is awaiting parts to repair the broken rear suspension components.
Whidbey returned E-70 to duty.
- Engine-61 for NBK has been delayed with the brake repairs and is now expected to be back up early next week. Once up, the focus will return to B-28 in Jacobs’s shops.
- Boardman - Has one (1) truck down (B-BO 1) as the PM and follow on repairs are being completed.
